Description:
This 1947 MG TC is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four that was
fitted with a Judson MG-26 supercharger as part of a refurbishment
completed under previous ownership. Finished in green with a yellow
grille, the car wears a folding windshield paired with a tan soft
top and features Marchal headlamps along with a Lucas fog lamp.
Inside, a tan leather-trimmed bench is accompanied by a wood
dashboard as well as a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Shifting is
through a four-speed manual transmission, and further equipment
includes lever-arm shocks, hydraulic drum brakes, and 19? knock-off
wire wheels.
Interior:
The right-hand-drive cabin is equipped with a split bench trimmed
in tan leather, and matching upholstery extends to the door panels.
Interior appointments include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a
passenger-side grab handle, and door-panel map pockets. The
wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a wood dashboard housing
black-dial instrumentation consisting of a 6,500-rpm tachometer as
well as a 105-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and an oil-pressure
gauge.
Exterior:
The car is believed to have been repainted in its current green
finish under previous ownership. Marchal headlamps are accompanied
by a Lucas fog lamp and a horn affixed to a badge bar ahead of the
yellow-finished grille. The 19? wire wheels are secured by two-ear
knock-offs and mounted with Dunlop tires. A matching spare is
stored at the rear of the vehicle against the fuel tank. The
suspension features lever-arm shocks paired with leaf springs at
all four corners, while braking is handled by hydraulic drums.
Drivetrain:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual
transmission. The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is fitted with a Judson
MG-26 supercharger as well as a single SU carburetor.
