Up for sale is a one-of-a-kind, rust-free 1988 Dodge D100 Shortbed
originally from California and built from the ground up. This truck
has been through a true frame-off rotisserie restoration - every
nut, bolt, and panel was given attention. The result is a mint,
show-quality build that runs and drives as mean as it looks.
Drivetrain & Performance
Originally a 318 / 4-speed OD, now powered by a built 1969 340 cu.
in. V8
0.030" overbore, 10.5:1 compression, mild ported heads
Direct Connection 509 Purple Shaft cam (new old stock from the
'80s)
Single-plane aluminum intake with a Holley 750 double pumper
Electronic ignition, recurved distributor
5-speed Tremec manual transmission with hydraulic clutch
Custom dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers - deep, aggressive
tone
3.55 Sure Grip rear end, fully rebuilt with new bearings and
seals
Chassis & Suspension
Frame stripped to bare metal and finished in matte black DP90
All-new front suspension and brakes
17" American Racing Torq Thrust Original (TTO) wheels
Custom large aluminum radiator with dual temp-controlled electric
fans
70-amp alternator and simplified wiring (no emissions or computer
clutter)
Exterior
Finished in the original Flash Red color - show-quality paint,
truly a 10/10
Underside of cab and bed retains original gray primer and Flash Red
overspray, preserved during restoration for authenticity
De-trimmed sides with shaved wide molding clips for a clean, custom
look
