INTRODUCTION: Pontiac Historical documented, born as you see it! #s
match, factory colors and a real H.O. with factory 4-speed and 3.55
posi! It has been body off frame, nut and bolt restored to factory
specs. Binder of restoration documentation including motor, trans
and rear end rebuild.
EXTERIOR: This is one good looking GTO, factory regimental red
without a vinyl top! The stacked headlights, hood scoop and Coke
bottle quarter panels really give this a distinct look. The body is
amazing, absolutely straight and fits beautifully. There are no
signs of rust or damage. The paint is polished like glass and
anyone who walks up to it will be impressed if you look very
closely there are some minor imperfections. It has the correct
pinstripe painted on. All of the chrome and trim has been restored
or replaced including the wide rocker moldings, remote mirror,
correct antenna, vent window frames, metal door edge guards etc.
The side glass and windshield were replaced. All the weatherstrips
were replaced too. It rolls on reproduction redline Wide Oval tires
with radial technology. They are wrapped around a set of
reproduction rally ll wheels including correct red lug nuts.
INTERIOR: Restored to factory new from carpet to headliner! The
best part of it is the factory Hurst 4-speed sticking out of the
floor. In front of me is a completely restored dash area: new dash
pad, instrument panel with wood grain and it has a full set of
rally gauges including the tachometer. It also has a reproduction
AM FM stereo with modern internals including Bluetooth. There is
new deluxe wheel deluxe trim around the pedals. Fresh carpet on the
floor with reproduction mats and GM deluxe seatbelts. The seats
were recushioned and upholstered, it has new door panels, armrests,
window cranks, The new headliner fits tight as a drum, the visors
and mirror were replaced too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Not only is this the optional 400 H.O. motor
making 360 horsepower but it is the original one that came with
this car. They did not have matching VIN numbers in 1967, this one
has the unit number stamped on it which matches the Pontiac
Historical documents. This motor was just completely rebuilt
professionally, we have the itemized receipt. It has all the
correct components too: ram air manifolds, Quadrajet carb, correct
fuel filter and line, open element air cleaner and chrome valve
covers. Other features include power steering and power brakes with
a cadmium plated booster. The wiring was replaced, squirters are
hooked up, hood insulation is in place. It has reproduction hoses,
clamps and battery cables. All the metal surfaces are painted very
nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted
slick like the car. Inside is spotless metal neatly spatter
painted. It has a reproduction trunk mat, tire cover and
weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: It was body off the frame restored, everything
underneath was rebuilt and detailed to factory specs. It has the
ride and handling package. All of the suspension and steering has
been redone. The brake system was completely redone, it has disc in
front, new brake lines and e-brake assembly. The fuel system was
replaced including the tank. It has a factory correct dual exhaust
even with staggered size mufflers. Looking up at the motor it is
clean. I can see a fresh fuel pump and starter. The original Muncie
M20 4-speed was just rebuilt with M22 Rock Crusher internals.
Correct, rebuilt rear end has Auburn 3.55 Saf-T-Track gears. The
floors are claimed to be original and they look spotless. All the
metal including the chassis has been prepped and is painted a
smooth semi-gloss black.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This one really checks the boxes! Beautiful, rare, and
desirable. If you compare, consider everything: colors, options,
authenticity, true condition. There isn't another one like
this!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. ** Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
