INTRODUCTION: Frame off restoration! Rare opportunity; we haven't
had a Butternut Yellow Camaro for sale since 2022 at the museum.
Dare to be different? This showstopper will stand out from the
crowd. What a beautiful combination of colors and features!
EXTERIOR: The Butternut Yellow paint has been applied with great
attention to detail then polished to a slick and reflective finish.
The black nose stripe has been properly painted on and really adds
a nice pop. Looking down the side of the arrow straight body is
satisfying with all its crisp lines and smooth contours. The panels
have been painstakingly aligned with good consistent gaps that are
right on the money. The vinyl top is fresh plus it has the optional
dual side mirrors and chrome door moldings. Another option is the
front and rear spoilers that greatly enhance the profile. And it
even has the bumper guards. The fuzzy strips have been replaced on
all the glass. Of course you can't ignore all the SS adornments,
including the "ice cube trays" on the hood. The blacked out front
grill is in spotless condition and is also equipped with the Rally
Sport hideaway headlights. It's sitting pretty on a pair of 15"
chrome American Racing Torque Thrust wheels that are wrapped in
Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.
INTERIOR: I absolutely love the low back bucket seats and center
console with very practical aftermarket gauges to monitor the
vitals. They have both been wonderfully refurbished and look
fantastic. The rear seat was also recovered in matching vinyl. It
has seat belts front and back. The rear shelf was replaced and it
has fresh speaker grates too. The headliner is tight as a drum and
has a working dome light. The dash pad is not cracked and the lower
portion of the dash was beautifully repainted gloss black. The
climate control unit is in great shape and the AM radio has been
upgraded to a digital retro stereo. It is also equipped with the
famous Tic Toc Tachometer. The deluxe three spoke steering wheel
looks brand new plus the door panels and carpeting have been
replaced. The interior has everything going for it.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This has a very healthy, freshly built 396
engine from a 69 Camaro. It has a hotter cam, aluminum intake, dual
feed Holley carb with electric choke, MSD ignition, and long tube
headers. It has been handsomely dressed up with a chrome air
cleaner, chrome valve covers, chrome fender supports, plus a chrome
alternator and bracket. It also has billet aluminum spark plug wire
holders and pulleys. Other features include power steering and
power brakes. It's very complete and has spring clamp battery
cables, working horns, hood insulation and even the squirters are
hooked up. The metal surfaces are clean and painted nicely. The
cooling system looks proper and the wiring harness has been
replaced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and jamb are
painted smooth just like the exterior. Inside is all clean metal
with a neatly applied spatter finish paint. It even has a
reproduction jack sticker, fresh weatherstrip, plaid mat, full size
spare tire, and rear seat insulation.
UNDERSIDE: This beauty has been body off frame restored. It appears
that the suspension and steering was all redone. It has frame
connectors welded front to back to keep the car from twisting. It
also has air shocks in the rear. The fuel system was replaced
including the tank and lines. The brake system was rebuilt and the
e-brake cables hooked up. It is equipped with disc brakes up front
plus the lines and hoses were replaced. When looking up at the
engine you will see fresh Chevy Orange paint. The Turbo 400
automatic transmission looks to be recently serviced with a ribbed
aluminum pan and fresh linkage too. A rebuilt drive shaft transfers
the power to a nicely repainted 10 bolt rear end with 3.08 cruising
gears. The dual exhaust system was totally redone and upgraded with
long tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers. The floors are clean
rust free steel with nicely applied satin black paint. The frame
was also prepped and painted.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: What's not to love? It looks, sounds, and performs
amazing! Not born an RS-SS big block but this is just how I like
them. Nice enough to be extremely proud and catch a bunch of
compliments, but not a trailer queen that will give you a coronary
every time someone breathes on it. Get in turn the key and have
some fun. What a great way to enjoy life!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights.
Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are
interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment
with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an
admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a
car, your admission will be refunded, and you'll receive a one-year
museum membership.
