From 1962 through 1965 the Nova of Chevy II was a compact car built
by General Motors and would be the first of the six generations of
the Nova, a name that would re-appaear every once in a while. The
car first started off as a economical car that would feature two or
four doors but as time went on, then bigger engines would be
introduced and by the mid-60's they were part of the muscle car
war. Later these cars were used for street/strip use because of
their small and lightweight design. Unfortunately we do not know a
ton about this car with the exception that it has a very healthy
power plant. This car was purchased the way you see it with the
exception of some minor tinkering. There is really no paperwork to
speak of either. The interior is not stock but it pretty good
condition with a tidy and rust free trunk and tidy engine bay. This
car starts right up and sounds amazing. Lights and gauges are in
working order and the car goes down the road quite nicely. The
paint is an older amateur restoration that shows good from a
20-feet and there is an aftermarket fiberglass hood installed. This
Nova starts, idels, runs, shifts and could be ready for some 1/8
mile or mile fun. As usual we welcome and questions or
inspections here in our Traverse City gallery.
