1968 Ford Mustang GT500E “Eleanor” Tribute — 408ci / 500+ HP / 5-Speed / Rotisserie Build
This professionally built Eleanor tribute started life as a coupe and underwent a full rotisserie restoration and fastback conversion on the West Coast before I purchased it in 2015. I’ve owned it for 10 years and have driven it sparingly — about 4,500 miles in that time — mostly fair-weather weekends and local car shows.
Power comes from a BluePrint Engines 408ci crate motor (dyno-verified at 500+ HP), mated to a Tremec World Class 5-speed and Centerforce clutch. The car runs strong, cruises effortlessly on the highway, and sounds incredible — thanks to electronic exhaust cutouts operated by a dash switch.
During the engine upgrade, I also added coil-over adjustable suspension and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. Steering is upgraded with a Borgeson power-steering conversion, and cooling is handled by a Champion 4-row radiator. Overall, this car is reliable, powerful, and extremely well-sorted.
Paint & Body: 9/10. The silver paint still shows beautifully with only a couple of minor blemishes from new.
Interior: Clean and functional, includes roll bar (rear cross-bar not installed so rear seats remain usable).
Condition: Garage-kept, never abused, no rust or leaks.

Ownership & Sale Terms:
I never thought I’d sell this one, but new hobbies are taking my time, and it deserves to be driven. I spent some time researching all of the current Eleanors for sale as well as past auctions and I'm confident that mine is priced VERY attractively for the current market. Typically, the first person that comes to see anything I have for sale buys it. It's priced well and there aren't any surprises with this car.
Clean title in hand.
Bank wire only — no checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders.
Price firm.
Inspection encouraged — I welcome personal viewings or reputable pre-purchase inspections.
Summary:
Beautiful car. Looks, sounds, and drives as good as it gets — a true head-turner and an honest, well-sorted Eleanor tribute ready to show or enjoy.
