"The 1971 Jaguar XKE, also known as the E-Type, is not merely a
car; it's a sweeping statement of elegance and innovation that has
captivated enthusiasts and collectors alike. Born from the genius
of Sir William Lyons and his team at Jaguar Cars in Coventry,
England, the XKE was a harmonious blend of beauty, high
performance, and competitive pricing that reshaped the sports car
landscape. Its unveiling at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show left an
indelible mark on the automotive world, with Enzo Ferrari himself
calling it "the most beautiful car ever made."-metrommp.com
This 1971 Jaguar XKE Series II Roadster featured in Signal Red over
beige leather interior is powered by a numbers matching, 4.2 liter
inline six-cylinder motor mated to a four-speed manual
transmission.
The engine bay which is always impressive on an XKE has been
enhanced by the appearance of the triple Weber carburetor setup.
Pulling the choke and turning the key will bring this legendary
4.2-liter motor to life and creates a magnificent sound as it
effortlessly breathes through the stainless-steel exhaust.
The beige interior is fitted with a factory wood steering wheel
surrounding the Smith gauges and is upgraded with a Sony stereo
system. The interior shows well with only some minor wear. The
odometer is showing 34,735 miles.
Although the paint looks great, upon close inspection, crazing is
evident. The chrome presents well with a great shine and luster and
is accented well against the black vinyl soft top.
