Full disclosure, the car as far as I know (tried to get car fax on the vin and apparently they don’t go back that far) is a two owner car, originally a California car with no rust and since has been in Colorado (purchased by us in 2001). It has never been driven in snowy wet conditions, so no mag-chloride rust accumulated here. My wife probably put maybe 7,000 miles on it in 24 years, mostly going to the store and running local errands. It is a rare 4 speed manual as they did not sell manual transmissions (to my knowledge) in the US back then. It was running decently up until about 2 years ago, then it started idling rough. Went to numerous mechanics and they would bandage it as they knew she hardly drove it. Got to the point where she wasn’t comfortable driving it, afraid of being stranded. Few minor body issues, scratches, a flake of paint on the hood which is starting to rust. No major accidents, once the emergency brake wasn’t on and it slowly rolled into another car and busted the tail light cover which has been replaced. She rear-ended someone barely, no damage to the 450 and other person did not report damage. New tires as of 6 months ago, after market rims. Hard top removable with usable soft top, has some patches. Interior is so-so, drivers seat was reupholstered, passenger seat has some rips and is not comfortable. Odometer doesn’t work and gas gauge works sometimes. Dash has a crack on it, carpets look 51 years old. Power steering leaks, but still works with no issues. Transmission is in good nick as is the clutch. Brakes were replaced about 15 years ago and work fine. We have all the service records. Pretty sure there is over 200,000 miles on it, considering the age and mileage, it is in great shape for restoration. This is the perfect car for someone who can restore it or someone who restores it and sells it. The price we’re asking leaves plenty of room to do either.
