For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Nova in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

One owner from 1998-2021. He bought it as a rolling shell and spent 10 years meticulously restoring it. It only has about 5,000 miles since finished. He enjoyed driving it to car shows. We just bought this car from the couple we sold it to 3 years ago and they really enjoyed the car too.

EXTERIOR: They started with a bare shell and restored it to show quality. The body is excellent. It is laser straight and the gaps are excellent. The door handles were shaved for a clean custom look. Painted with PPG paint, it has a very smooth and glossy finish. The coral color really sets it apart from all the others and the ghost flames were done by a reputable artist. Upfront the grill, bumper, trim looks new. The SS hood louvers and marker lights and look new. The trim around the window frames were chromed. In back the trim, bumper and SS gas cap look like new. It has the SS black tailpanel. Weatherstrips were replaced. The rally wheels are chrome plated, wider in back with a taller tire for a great stance. The glass is tinted.

INTERIOR: It has custom reclining high back bucket seats. The seats and door panels are upholstered in vinyl with comfortable cloth inserts. On the floor the carpet looks new and there's a custom made center console with a Hurst ratchet shifter. It has racing belts on the front seats. Overhead is a tight fitting new headliner. The visors and mirror look real nice, it has a working dome light. In front of me is a 3 spoke deluxe wheel on a tilt column. It has a rare functional factory tachometer. It also had a Monster tachometer with shift light and matching gauge cluster down below the dash. The lenses, heater controls, dash pad look very nice. The big tachometer is removable, no holes drilled in the dash pad. There is a CD stereo.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This built 402 big block has an Edelbrock intake, dual feed Holley carb with electric choke, and fuel regulator, an MSD ignition system and long tube headers. It has a performance cam so there is an electric pump and vacuum reservoir. Features include power steering and power brakes. Its dressed up with some extra chrome and real nice aluminum valve covers. The radiator has an engine fan, a shroud, electric pusher fan, polished overflow bottle and a transmission cooler. The heater box and heater core were replaced.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal trunk compartment neatly sprayed with a gray spatter finish. It has a fuel cell with foam insert. There is a stainless box with the vacuum pump inside. The trunk lid and jamb are painted slick like the car. New weatherstrip.

UNDERSIDE: The front end was completely rebuilt including bushings, shocks, ball joints and steering components. New quick ratio steering box. There are welded in, countersunk frame rails to tie the front to the back. In back it has relocated lower shock mounts, and traction bars. The brake system was completely rebuilt, it has disc in front. It has a fat exhaust with stainless mufflers. Looking up at the motor it's fresh Chevy orange with a high torque starter and chrome flywheel cover. The Turbo 400 automatic was rebuilt with upgrades. It was rollerized, has 3500 stall, shift kit, electronic kick down and a remote oil cooler. The driveshaft was rebuilt and balanced. In back is a 4.11 12 bolt posi with aluminum cover. The floors look rock solid.

This is a well built car. The owner has a lot of pride in what he has done. He stressed to me how he took his time and didn't do anything hokey. It's fun to drive, that big block really rumbles!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
