This 1988 GMC Suburban 2500 Sierra Classic is a really nice, very
clean, low mile 3/4 ton Suburban that has been well cared for. This
vehicle has been used mostly as an extra vehicle for its entire
life and that is why the miles are so low. The last owner had this
truck for the last 10 years and did not put hardly any miles on it.
He did a lot of maintenance and improvements to it so he could hop
in it whenever he wanted and drive it knowing it would be good to
go. This was a highly optioned Suburban in 1988 and we do have the
original window sticker which you can see in the photos. The body
is extremely nice...very straight and clean. GM had a lot of paint
failures in this era so this vehicle was professionally repainted
in its original colors of Midnight Blue and Frost White. The paint
still looks excellent and it is a beautiful color combination. All
of the body side moldings were replaced when it was painted but the
rest of the chrome and stainless is original snd in excellent
condition. The underside is extra clean and we found no rust issues
with this vehicle.
The interior is also in beautiful, excellent condition. The seats
are original and in near perfect condition which validates the low
mileage. The dash and door panels are also original and very nice.
The last owner removed all of the carpet and added a full rubber
floor mat because that is what he preferred. He also replaced the
headliner and added a new dah bezel. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
This truck has tilt wheel and working cruise control. It has
working power windows and power locks. The horn and windshield
wipers work. The heat and AC are also working including the rear
AC. This Burb also has a high end stereo that sounds great!
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives
beautifully. The engine is the TBI 5.7L 350 V8 that runs strong
with no issues or red flags that we found. It recently had a
tune-up, new belts, and hoses, and a new AC Compressor. Other work
includes a new alternator and a new aluminum HD radiator. It has
the Turbo 400 Automatic transmission that shifts great and it is
mated to the np241 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. The
rear axle is a Corporate 14 Bolt with 3.73 gears and a factory
limited slip. The front axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with 3.73
gears. Other recent preventive maintenance done to this vehicle
includes all new shocks (duals in front), brake system completely
redone with: new master cylinder and new hoses, calipers rotors and
pads, rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes, and rear drums. This
is all sitting on a cool set of factory steel wheels with hubcaps
and a Kumho 235/85/16 tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
