1994 Land Rover Defender 90 For SaleThis 1994 Land Rover Defender
90 underwent a complete nut and bolt restoration by Commonwealth
Classics in Virginia just seven months ago and has traveled only
226 miles since completion. The entire process is documented in a
binder of photographs that track the vehicle's transformation from
its original condition in Jaen, Spain, to the fully reimagined
truck offered here.It was rebuilt around a crate TDI 300 2.5L
turbocharged diesel four-cylinder, paired with a ZFHP22 four-speed
automatic transmission - an OEM-spec combination used in
European-market Discoverys. Supporting upgrades include a
heavy-duty LT230 two-speed transfer case, an uprated aluminum
intercooler, Variable Geometry Turbo, powder-coated rocker cover,
custom front and rear driveshafts, and an aluminum transmission oil
cooler. Commonwealth fabricated a substructure for the automatic
shifter and adapted the linkage to suit the drivetrain.Finished in
Land Rover's classic Keswick Green, the truck wears a khaki Exmoor
Stayfast soft top. The paintwork extends across the body, fenders,
and headlight bezels, complemented by a silver metal heritage front
grille. The front bumper and rear capping are hot-dip galvanized
for durability. It rides on 16-inch heavy-duty Wolf steel wheels,
body-matched in Keswick Green and wrapped in 245/75R16 BF Goodrich
All-Terrain KO2 tires, with a full-size spare carried on a
swing-away rear mount.Inside, the Defender seats six with belts,
and the cabin features a replica of the 1997 NAS Defender 90 center
console. Additional details include a Moto-Lita steering wheel,
power windows, and a GPS speedometer with matching tachometer.
Entertainment is handled by a Blaupunkt Frankfurt stereo paired
with an underseat amplifier, Morel component speakers up front,
dash-mounted tweeters, under-dash woofers, and rear forward-facing
speakers. This Defender represents a faithful and carefully
considered restoration, blending the rugged authenticity of a
classic with thoughtfully integrated drivability upgrades and
modern touches.See the "videos" tab above this description box for
