1972 AMC Javelin For Sale
This 1972 AMC Javelin is equipped with AMC's 360 cubic-inch V8
paired to an automatic transmission. The car runs and drives, with
a number of documented updates and replacements performed over the
years to keep it on the road.
The 5.9L V8 is fitted with a 625 Street Demon carburetor (2020) and
Headman headers, supported by a re-cored radiator (2017), new
alternator (2019), HEI distributor and race fan (2020), and a new
timing chain completed in 2024. The transmission, lines, and
U-joint were replaced in 2018. Power is sent through 2.87 rear
gearing.
Chassis upkeep has included upper and lower ball joints replaced in
2018. The car stops with front discs measuring 8/32 and rear drums
at 6/32, while all four tires measure 10/32.
Inside, the bucket seats were reupholstered in 2017, keeping the
interior serviceable for everyday use.
