Not Stock....This thing is cool! Willys Overland has a much longer
history in the Automobile world than most would know. From 1912
until 1918 Willys was the second largest producer of Automobiles
only trailing Ford Motor Co. Willys had their hand in many
different aspects of the transportation world but they would become
most famous for building the military jeeps (MBs) during WWII. This
particular Wagon was a post WWII era vehicle and would try to cater
to the Sportsman or outdoors people of the world. These were built
in truck or wagon form and in 1948 either of these could be ordered
with four-wheel drive making it the ancestor of all Sport-Utility
vehicles. This particular stunner has covered just over 600 miles
since a full mechanical update and restoration. This is now
outfitted with a desirable 4.8 Liter fuel injected V8 mated to an
automatic transmission. The front end has been upgraded to a brand
new Ford Mustang II front end, aluminum radiator, power disc
brakes, new bushings all the way around and all new wiring. Updated
gauges, 12V, lighting is all done is well. This Wagon starts,
sounds, shifts and goes down the road very nicely with no leaks,
smoke, rattles or shakes. The interior is in very nice unmolested
condition, the paint is fair, the engine bay is very nice and clean
and the underside is very nice. We have all the paperwork on what
was done and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We
also encourage inspections here in our Traverse City location.
