This 1964 MG B is a classic British roadster that captures the
charm of open-air motoring. Finished in red with a black vinyl top
and black interior, it's powered by a lively 1800cc inline-four
paired with a 4-speed manual transmission-offering the fun,
engaging driving experience that made the MGB a favorite among
enthusiasts.
While the paint and body show some wear and imperfections, the car
presents well overall and has benefited from extensive mechanical
and cosmetic work throughout. The engine bay has been refinished,
including a painted engine, air cleaner housing, and the underside
of the hood. Mechanical updates include new air filters, points,
spark plugs, wires, rotor button, distributor cap, and oil cooler
lines, along with a recent oil change for peace of mind.
Several exterior items have been replaced, including the front
grille assembly, front and rear bumpers, rear overriders, wiper
blades, fuel cap, and rear taillight assemblies. The lower valance
has been repainted, and the classic painted spoke wheels feature
new chrome knock-offs, painted calipers, and Dunlop P185/70R14
tires.
Inside, the MG has seen major refurbishment. The seats have been
reupholstered and fitted with new seat belts, while new
soundproofing, carpeting, and floor mats give the cabin a clean,
refreshed look. Additional upgrades include new interior door
capping, a new center console, and power braid wire coverings. A
new tonneau cover and support are also included, along with a
nicely finished trunk area featuring new carpet and an MG logo
spare tire cover.
This 1964 MG B isn't a show car, but it's a well-loved example
that's been thoughtfully maintained and improved where it counts.
It's a great driver's car-ideal for someone looking to enjoy
classic motoring without worrying about perfection.
