1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS - Beautiful example of the iconic G-body that America loves! TRUE SS-model that has been very well maintained by previous long-time owner. Extremely clean inside/out and completely stock with only 66k original miles! This was the first year for the real "performance" minded Monte powered by the factory 5.0L 305ci-V8 engine with 200R4-OD automatic transmission and 3.73 rear-end. Also nicely optioned with power steering, power brakes and special F41 suspension package. Car has recently been mechanically serviced along with new suspension components and exhaust so it runs and drives great while cruising comfortable at any speeds. Exterior shows excellent with one high-end re-paint in the original yet rarely seen "Silver Metallic" color with correct stripe kit over a laser straight body. Paint quality shows better than when these cars rolled off the assembly line. Doors, hood and trunk all line up wonderfully and shut with ease. The factory 15" rally wheels have also been "restored" and wrapped in newer white letter radial tires. Interior remains mostly original and in great condition as well. The seats are plush, fabric is clean and everything seems to work as it should. There are a few small hairline cracks on top of the dash pad which is fairly common for these cars. Engine bay is nicely detailed along with trunk area which still includes the original jack and spare. Undercarriage is very solid, showing no signs of any rust or rot repair. These Monte's have always been on collector's lists and within any budget of GM enthusiasts worldwide. A true staple of 80's Americana and vintage Nascar-esque style at an affordable price!
