This 1986 Chevy K-5 Blazer Silverado is a very nice, very clean,
rust free Blazer that came out of Nevada. The last owner was a long
time master mechanic and this truck was his baby for the last 10
years or so. He did a lot of maintenance and a some cool upgrades
over the years to keep this a reliable and great driving Blazer.
The body is clean and straight. This truck was originally Steel
Gray, but it was professionally repainted at some point because of
GM clear-coat issues from that era. It is now 2 Tone Steel Gray and
Maroon. The paint still looks great and the body moldings were
replaced when it was repainted. The chrome and stainless appear to
be original and still look nice. The underside of this Blazer is
extremely clean and we found no rust issues with this vehicle.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The front seats were
professionally redone with added foam and cushion to make more
comfortable than the original stock seats. The seats are still the
stock seats just with added cushion. The headliner was also
replaced along with the dash bezel. The carpet, door panels, dash
pad, and rear seat are original and still really nice. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. This truck has tilt wheel but no cruise control. It has
working power windows and power locks and the rear power window is
also working. The horn and windshield wipers are working and the
heat and AC are also working. It does have an aftermarket radio
installed but it is not powering up.
Mechanically this Blazer is top notch and it runs and drives
wonderful! It originally came with a 305 V8 but it was replaced by
the last owner with a 7.4L 454 V8. The engine was a crate engine
from Chevrolet and it has approximately 30,000 miles on it per the
last owner who installed it. The engine compartment looks factory
and it looks like it came with this engine from the factory. Very
nicely done. It runs strong with no issues or red flags that we
found. It has an Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Carb, HEI
Ignition, HD radiator, upgraded starter, upgraded AC compressor,
and headers with dual Flowmaster exhaust that sounds great. It has
the 700R4 Automatic Transmission that shifts great and it was built
up to handle the upgraded engine when installed. It is mated to the
np208 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle
is a 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears and a limited slip. It was replaced
with a Jasper Reman and we have a receipt for that. The front axle
is also a 10 Bolt and it has 3.73 gears. This is all sitting on
what we believe are factory aluminum wheels with 31 Inch All
terrain Tires.
