1947 Chevrolet Stylemaster 2 dr coupe Street Rod. The car was built in the late 90’s originally and in the last 5 years had some significant upgrades including an all new engine, transmission, and rebuilt differential.
This Stylemaster was a high end professional build when completed over 25 years ago. Very nice paint and body fully sanded and buffed Marina Blue paint with custom graphics. Very nice fit with a mirror finish. It does have some minor scratches and other very small defects that I tried my best to capture in the gallery photos from use over the years.
Powered by a 383 stroker engine built by Allen Showalter at Sho-Time Performance here in Tucson in 2020 and now has around 1000 miles on the drivetrain. All of the best parts were used including a 1 piece rear seal 4 bolt main block that was super cleaned, line honed, and parallel Decked. Eagle rotating assembly with I beam rods and 3/8 ARP capscrews, sealed power hypereuthectic 12cc dished pistons, perfect circle Moly rings, Lunati Voodoo Hydraulic roller cam with .530 lift and 227 duration, Brodix IK200 aluminum 70cc heads and comp cams ultra 1.5 roller rockers, and topped with an Edelbrock Air gap and 650cfm carburetor. The engine makes approximately 400hp and 375ft lbs of torque running on 91 octane pump gas. The TH350 automatic transmission was completely rebuilt at the same time and upgraded with a shift kit and B&M Tork Master 2000 stall convertor and high capacity finned aluminum pan. In 2022 the 10 bolt rear differential was completely rebuilt by Western differential with a 3.36 gear ratio. All of the brakes were flushed at that time and a new Booster installed.
The chassis was upgraded to a mustang 2 Independent front suspension with Disc Brakes and rack and pinion steering. The rear was upgraded to a parallel leaf and GM 10 Bolt differential. Rolls on Custom polished Billet Specialties rims.
Custom interior in grey Tweed and satin painted dashboard. Classic instrument gauges all work great with the odometer showing 27,938 which are the miles put on the car since restored, but of course there is less than 1000 miles on the upgraded drivetrain. Fitted with adjustable bucket seats and console, built in speakers, tilt column, and custom stereo. Comforts include Air conditioning and Heat, power steering , and electric wipers. The car has automatic door poppers and power windows. All glass is smoked.
