This 1984 Chevy K5 Military Blazer is a really nice M1009 that came
out of Montana. We were told that it spent its life on a base in
Montana but we do not have any paperwork to prove it. The last
owner bought this vehicle as a gift for his daughter when she
returned home from deployment and he went through the vehicle to
make sure it would be a reliable driver for her. The body is really
clean and straight compared to many of these that we have seen. He
had it repainted in its current Camo color scheme and it looks
great! It has the original front and rear bumpers. The underside is
clean and solid and there was a metal patch welded in the driver
floor because the metal was getting a little weak from moisture
where your feet would be all the time. It was very well done and we
found no rust issues with this vehicle.
The interior is your basic military interior and it is still in
good condition. It has new Bestop bucket seats and it still has the
original rear seat. It also has new door panels. The rest appears
to be all original and is still in good condition. The seat were
removed and the floor was bed-lined for longevity. The headlights,
brakelights, taillights, and turn signals are all working. The heat
and windshield wipers are also working. These trucks did not come
with AC or a horn.
Mechanically this truck is excellent. It starts easily and runs and
drives down the road great! The engine is the original J Code 6.2L
Diesel that runs strong and it is completely stock. We found no
issues or red flags with this vehicle. It recently had new glow
plugs and it was converted to a manual glow-plug relay. It has
newer belts and hoses. It has the Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission
that shifts great and it is mated to the np 208 transfer case. The
4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with
3.08 gears and a factory locker. The front axle is also a 10 Bolt
with 3.08 gears. They added a 2 Inch lift with springs in the front
and blocks in the rear for a nice stance. It also has new shocks,
new steering box, new tie rods and new rear driveshaft. This is all
sitting on black steel wheels with newer 33 Inch Tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
