INTRODUCTION: Smoking hot! This bad fish has received a really good
rotisserie restoration. From the bottom to the top, any angle you
look at her is sexy. With its Scorch Red paint, totally rebuilt 340
V8 power plant and refurbished interior, this Barracuda will not
disappoint!
EXTERIOR: This Scorch Red paint has been applied with great
attention to detail then polished to a finish that is smooth and
shiny. All the panels have been painstakingly aligned with nice
consistent gaps that are right on the money. The doors close easily
with minimal effort. The glass is all nice and clear with new
rubber seals and fuzzy strips too. I'm absolutely in love with the
fastback styling, one of my favorites of all time. Looking down the
side of the body is satisfying with its smooth contours and crisp
lines. The bumpers have been re-chromed and the remaining bright
work has a glorious shine. The front grille appears to be virtually
spotless, with a beautifully aggressive aesthetic. The tail panel
has also been wonderfully refurbished, and the pop-up fuel filler
is super cool too. It's rolling on a set of 14" Crager SS chrome
rims that complement the car perfectly. They are wrapped in a good
set of BFGoodrich Radial TA tires.
INTERIOR: Nicely refurbished and looking great. I love that it has
a digital Bluetooth radio, thumb wheel style just like the
original, and fits in the factory hole. The gauges and bezel also
look fantastic. The dash pad has been replaced and the original
style steering wheel beautifully refurbished. All the seats have
been recovered in matching vinyl and it is equipped with seatbelts
front and back. My favorite feature of this car is the fold-down
rear seat with storage behind and a drop down hatch that has access
clear into the trunk. The original style center console and shifter
are in place and show very well. The door panels were also
refinished and look amazing. The carpeting was replaced and the
lights are working.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: All the details have been attended to. The very
spunky 340 cubic inch V8 has been nicely rebuilt and upgraded with
a Holley intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor. A pair of
Heddman headers flank the sides. It has also been upgraded with a
Mopar electronic ignition system. The radiator appears to be
rebuilt and it has a heavy duty 7 blade clutch fan. The battery is
properly secured and has an optional master kill switch. The hoses
and belts have been replaced, plus the squirters and horns are
hooked up too. The underside of the hood is painted just like the
body and complete with insulation. The firewall and fender wells
have also been painted slick just like the exterior.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Having a working trunk light is very handy. The
underside of the trunk lid and inside the jamb are nicely painted
like the exterior. The weatherstrip was replaced and reproduction
jack stickers added. A drop down hatch gives easy access to behind
the rear seat. Under the vinyl trunk mat is all rock solid steel
painted body color.
UNDERSIDE: It looks like a pristine rotisserie restoration from
underneath. The floors, frame rails are so clean and painted gloss
red just like the top. All of the suspension and steering was
removed and rebuilt. The brakes were redone and it has discs in
front. All new lines and a new stainless steel e-brake cable too.
It also has a new factory type dual exhaust with stainless tips
going out the back. The fuel system was replaced including the
tank. Looking up at the engine it is very clean, so is the 727
Torqueflite automatic trans. A rebuilt drive shaft leads back to
the beefy 8 rear end with 3.55 posi gears.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Everything about this car is awesome! The color,
wheels, and stance blend together perfectly providing the total
package. And you'll feel proud being behind the wheel of it too,
owning something that others only wish they could have!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
