INTRODUCTION: Absolutely meticulous fit and finishes throughout,
this one really takes it beyond expectations. Not to mention it is
absolutely gorgeous, the red really pops against the silver. I
personally took it to a car show and thoroughly enjoyed driving it.
The gentleman that built the car enjoyed driving the car and kept
it and tip top shape!
EXTERIOR: The body is truly amazing, the fit and finishes are
incredible! The gaps are as tight as a new Mercedes, every square
inch is straight. They cleaned it up by removing emblems and trim,
although an SS hood was added. It has a flush mount power antenna.
The metallic silver is laid out evenly and the clear coat is
polished like glass. The jambs are painted slick too. All chrome,
trim and weatherstrips were replaced. The rich looking Haartz
Stayfast black cloth convertible top is on a restored frame. It has
a perfect stance sitting on 18 inch Rocket wheels wearing Michelin
Pilot Sport tires, wider in back.
INTERIOR: High end custom interior by Cutters Hot Rod Interiors. It
was first lined with sound deadener and given an upgraded wiring
system. It is beautiful, comfortable and very meticulous. Seeing it
in person will do it more justice than my description but let's
start with the door panels: look at the meticulous craftsmanship.
They have integrated speakers and all the metal trim is painted the
exact same shade of red as the upholstery. The dash pad was custom
made and even has a countersunk space for the satellite antenna.
Upgraded gauges that light up red, Vintage Air controls and a
custom made lower panel has the a/c vents. The custom made console
has the stereo, the 6-speed shifter and a red lit cup holder. The
seats are very firm yet comfortable and meticulously upholstered.
Premium carpet and mats along with new red GM seat belts. The top
boot was custom made to match. The tilt column has a custom wheel
that's also upholstered with the same red material. The fit and
finish inside is very impressive!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: LS1 5.7L-400 HP motor with BBK SS1 intake
manifold and 85 mm Power Plus throttle body and headers. The motor
is painted red and looks beautiful sitting in the middle of that
clean silver engine bay. If you notice the fender wells don't have
any holes punched in them, the firewall is custom made and has a
countersunk trim tag and even a space for the hydraulic clutch
reservoir. The front filler panel over the radiator is all custom
made, again the craftsmanship is even obvious in the engine
compartment. The front of the motor is decked out with polished
components including the mini AC compressor, a one wire alternator
and serpentine pulleys. It has a modern power steering and a
Wilwood master cylinder. It runs cool with an aluminum radiator,
polished overflow bottle and electric fans. The hoses are neatly
run behind the wheel well. A set billet hinges make opening the
hood smooth as silk.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is redone to the same high quality as the
interior. Under the trunk lid is upholstered, inside is boxed with
compartment doors. The floor has premium square loop carpet and a
matching mat. A gel battery is behind the back panel.
UNDERSIDE: Completely rebuilt steering and suspension. Upgraded in
front with QA1 tubular control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks
and a heavy duty sway bar. In back it also has QA1 adjustable
coilover shocks and an added sway bar. It has a Wilwood brake kit
with drilled and slotted disc at all four wheels, six piston
calipers in front and a custom e-brake assembly. The new fuel
system is of course compatible with the fuel injected motor. A
custom welded dual exhaust includes a crossover pipe and stainless
MagnaFlow mufflers. Looking up at the motor it's painted red, has a
Holley aluminum oil pan and a high torque starter. A hydraulic
clutch makes shifting the Tremec 6-speed manual trans easy. The
rear end was rebuilt with a Moser 3.42 posi. The floors were
restored and are solid.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: I've done this my whole life, I literally look at a few
thousand cars a year and I'm going to tell you this Chevelle is
exceptional. The new owner will be very pleased and proud to own
this one!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
