Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this 1991 Dodge Stealth
R/T Turbo. If you're a fan of 1990s performance cars, you're going
to love this low-mileage first-year Stealth Twin Turbo with a
fantastic color combination, clean CarFax, and only two previous
owners! This Stealth comes to us dressed in its original coat of
Jet Black paint that is still in very good driver quality
condition. There are some small imperfections from having been
driven 52K miles (mainly chips on the front fascia), but it still
looks slick and deep all over. The most recent owner has owned the
car since 1995 and kept it in a garage with only limited excursions
on nice days, and it shows. The low-slung front end features
flip-up headlights, front fascia-mounted fog lamps, and articulated
blister caps on the hood to accommodate the ECS (electronic
controlled suspension) controllers at the top of the strut turrets.
The entire exterior of the car is black, including the limited
badging, adding to its "stealthy" appearance. The view from the
side is sleek and sporty with dual heated body-color side mirrors,
sculpted aero-style panels, faux vents between the doors and rear
wheels, and a rear spoiler on the hatchback. The car sits on
factory 17" styled aluminum wheels with locks, all wrapped in
Goodyear Eagle ZR45 tires. Around back, you'll notice a working
power antenna, a cell-phone antenna on the passenger rear quarter
window (this car was originally set up to accommodate an
early-style cell-phone - cool!), a rear wiper for the hatchback,
and two sets of dual chrome exhaust tips.
Under the hood is a clean and stock engine bay with a 3.0-liter
DOHC 24-valve twin-turbo V-6 at the center. This V-6 was
factory-rated at 300hp when new and would run neck and neck with an
Acura NSX that was double the price. Amenities abound with features
like power-assisted rack & pinion steering, cold factory A/C,
4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and performance-tuned "Dual Mode"
exhaust. The V-6 powerplant is mated up to a 5-speed Getrag 440
manual transmission with AWD and hydraulic control 4-wheel
steering. We have a receipt dated 7/2024 showing that the timing
belt was replaced at 52,153 miles (less than 500 miles ago!).
Open the driver's door, and the courtesy lights come on to reveal
an exceptionally nice black and red interior. The door panels are
black with red inserts, and they offer power windows and power
locks. The front bucket seats are covered in red leather, as are
the small rear seats with fold-down backs. The driver's seat does
exhibit some mild bolster wear, but the passenger side does not.
The driver's seat offers a mix of power and manual adjustability
with adjustable bolsters that really hold you in place for more
spirited driving. The red factory carpet is still in very good
condition, and it's kept nice with carpeted logo floormats up
front. On the floor to the driver's right, next to the door sill,
are internal poppers for the hatchback and fuel door. Between the
buckets is a center console with an armrest/storage box, an ashtray
with a working lighter, driver's bolster controls, an emergency
brake handle, a leather-wrapped shifter for the 5-speed, a 12-volt
socket, and an on/off switch for the cruise control. The console
flows up into the center dash where you'll find gauges for temp,
oil pressure, and boost in individual pods, HVAC controls with
automatic temperature control, and the factory optioned "Ultimate
Sound" AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo with 3-band EQ. The HVAC controls
work great; they pump out cold A/C and hot heat, but the LED screen
no longer works. The stereo works as it should and sounds really
good through the factory speakers. Ahead of the driver is a
leather-wrapped steering wheel with finger-touch stereo controls,
an airbag, controls for the cruise and intermittent wipers, and a
tilt function. The wheel frames a 9K tachometer, a fuel gauge, and
a 180mph speedometer. The odometer currently reads 52,633, and both
the title and CarFax confirm those to be actual miles. There are
also controls on the dash for power mirrors, the electronic
suspension control (sport/tour), and the active exhaust system
(sport/tour). Ahead of the passenger is a glove box with a working
courtesy light that contains an original owner's manual. Overhead
are lighted vanity mirrors on the visors, map lights, and a tight
black felt headliner. Back in the hatchback area is black carpet, a
retractable cargo cover, a high-pressure mini-spare with jack
assembly, and an old-school cell-phone transmitter box (think
"bag-phone" technology). This Stealth comes with an original window
sticker, some original documents from the dealer, a stack of
service receipts from the long-time owner, and 2 keys with 2
fobs.
If you're looking for a fast and sporty classic from the 90s that's
loaded with options, then this is the car for you! Filled with
cutting-edge technology for its time, this Stealth is a pleasure to
drive - and when the turbo kicks in, it's a thrill to drive! This
is a 34-year-old car that will easily compete with most modern cars
in every way! Give our staff a call today, this '90s classic surely
won't be here for long!
