The 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was the second model year of Chevy's
personal luxury coupe, introduced in 1970. Built on the GM A-body
platform, it was known for blending strong performance with upscale
styling. The '71 model featured subtle design changes including a
new grille with finer mesh and updated taillights. It retained its
signature long hood, short deck, and sleek roofline. About 128,000
Monte Carlos were produced in 1971, This stunning Monte Carlo has
been the recipient of a careful partial restoration (2018). The
exterior was refinished in Cranberry Red and is outstanding, as is
all chrome/stainless. The black vinyl top appears to be original
and is also in excellent condition. Factory 15"x7" rally wheels
mount BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires in good condition. Inside, the
Monte Carlo offered a plush interior with woodgrain accents, bucket
seats, console, 'horseshoe shifter' and air conditioning -
emphasizing comfort and style. The black vinyl interior shows very,
very little wear - upholstery, headliner, dash and carpets are all
outstanding. Features include tinted windows and AM/FM sound
system. The base engine in the '71 Monte Carlo was a 350ci/4V
(5.7L) V8 that produced 245 horsepower. The engine in this Monte
Carlo is said to have never required a rebuild. It has been fitted
with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and sounds strong. The 350 is
backed by a 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission that provides
torque to a factory differential. The clean chassis is equipped
with power steering, power-assisted disc/drum brakes, new exhaust
and front/rear sway bars. This beautiful Monte Carlo is going to
make its new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
