1953 Chevrolet Suburban, powered by a 454 big block V8 engine, 550
horsepower at the wheels, paired with a 700R4 automatic overdrive
transmission. Significant engine modifications include a 30-over
bore, aluminum heads, ARP pushrods, roller adjustable rockers,
forged pistons, a steel crankshaft, balanced and blueprinted.
Attached to that engine is a 3 core radiator, MSD spark advance,
Holley 750 carburetor, a serpentine belt system, long tube headers
and dual exhaust. The build also features a Mustang II front
suspension, and a Ford 9-inch rear end. Equipped with power
steering, and power brakes. Recent service includes a new
transmission pan gasket and output shaft seal. Deep indigo blue or
purple paint job accented by ghost flames that subtly appear and
disappear along the body, drag style hood scoop, complemented by
tinted windows and frenched tail lights. The vehicle rides on
polished Weld aluminum wheels. The interior is customized with two
plus two cloth bucket seats, a center console, and a digital dash.
Some gauges are inop. Under the hood are more gauges for monitoring
the vitals. In the rear, a storage area with a tip up panel and
stereo components displayed. A custom stereo system with speakers
integrated into the kick panels delivers sound, while the overall
cabin is finished with a gray and violet theme that matches the
exterior. On the road, an easy to drive, yet potent machine. An
amazing exhaust note, great acceleration, and comfortable.
