In the vast landscape of the Corvette world, the sixth generation
of Chevy's halo car holds a special significance. The C6 represents
the second-to-last front-engine version of the 'Vette to
(presumably) ever be made, and the first reappearance of the Grand
Sport since the one-year-wonder 1996 C4 variant. The GS does a
marvelous job of striking a balance between the base car and the
all-out Z06 racer, making it arguably the best of both worlds. This
2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible 3LT has just 57,528
miles on the odometer. It features the highest level of available
options, as well as drop-top driving, making it an exceptionally
unique car indeed. Not only is this car one of just 2,335 GS
convertibles produced in the trim's first year for the C6, but it
is also one of only 35 Grand Sport droptops made with a Cobalt Red
leather interior.
Painted in its original Torch Red, the Grand Sport's aggressive
lines stand out remarkably well. With the car's complementary black
top up or down, its scooped hood, front and rear spoilers, and
massive chrome wheels show off the Grand Sport's nod to the Z06.
Inside, the 3LT package elevates luxury and technology to their
highest level for the C6. Six-way power-adjustable heated sport
leather seats, a Heads-Up Display, Bluetooth hands-free calling,
and a seven-speaker Bose Premium AM/FM/CD/Navigation/Satellite
stereo system, as well as power windows, mirrors, and locks, along
with air conditioning, cruise control, and a power telescoping
wheel, make this Grand Sport the most posh a Corvette can feel.
Under the traditional front-hinged hood, we find a numbers-matching
6.2-liter overhead valve LS3 V-8 engine. Thanks to a lightweight
aluminum block and heads setup, along with a composite intake
manifold and a 90mm electronic throttle body, this modern small
block is capable of producing a stout 430 horsepower at 5,900 rpm
and 424 pound-feet of torque at 4,600 rpm. That power is funneled
through a slick-shifting rear rear-mounted, six-speed automatic
transmission before being sent out to the rear transaxle.

wider 18- and 19-inch GS-specific wheels on the front and back,
respectively, shod in larger 275/35ZR-18 and 325/30ZR-19 Michelin
rubber (also respectively), the Grand Sport also features larger
anti-roll bars and stiffer springs and shocks than the base car. If
