Phil Long, a WWII Navy Pilot with over 120 missions to his credit, entered the automotive industry following the war. His enterprise grew into Phil Long Ford in Colorado. In 1957, Phil acquired a Starmist Blue Thunderbird and rarely drove the car. In the Mid 70's, Jay Cimino joined the dealership and soon earned Partner Status, building the Phil Long Family of Dealerships consisting of 19 dealerships across Colorado and Raton, New Mexico.
In the 1980's, Phil gifted his Starmist Blue 1957 Thunderbird to Jay! Upon receiving the car with approximately 600 original miles, Jay vowed to maintain the car in pristine condition, mostly out of respect for his mentor, Phil, but also out of admiration for the car! It was rarely driven, and today shows 670 miles. This completely original 1957 Ford Thunderbird with 670 actual miles is now being presented at auction!

Two items noted and pictured are a minor scratch on the top of the driver side fender and weather stripping on the hardtop displaying brittle/cracking commensurate with the originality of the car.
Jay Cimino was a Business Icon in the automotive industry in Colorado, a renowned philanthropist and an avid collector of cars. Please note that all of the cars in the Jay Cimino Collection have been stored in a climate-controlled environment for many years, with only limited driving. The Jay Cimino team has confirmed that the vehicles start and run. Please note, however, as a result of their extended storage and static display, all the cars will benefit from additional mechanical attention before being driven.
