****THIS VEHICLE SELLING NO RESERVE****
During Ford's 100 Year Celebration in Dearborn, MI, Jay found himself drawn to this vintage treasure that seemed to have destiny written all over it. This 1936 Ford Roadster was born the same year Jay was! When he saw it, it was love at first sight! Jay made a decision to acquire the Roadster on the spot, having to seal the deal with Ford Motor Company Itself! From that moment on, the Roadster become more than just a vehicle; it was a cherished companion, a tangible link to Jay's own history and the legacy of Ford Motor Company!
This 1936 Ford Roadster was Jay's favorite vehicle. It received a frame off restoration at some point in it's history, receiving some mechanical enhancements like a modern front-end, front disc brakes, upgraded flathead V8 with a tri-carb set-up and more. As Jay's favorite car in his collection, the car was driven and enjoyed! Please note a few scratches on the rear driver's side fender and the front and rear passenger side fender.
The timeless look of the imposing front grill, deep burgundy exterior and brown interior upholstery, the rumble seat and spare tire cover on the trunk and the solid body inside, underneath and on top contribute to this highly desired Ford.
Jay Cimino was a Business Icon in the automotive industry in Colorado, a renowned philanthropist and an avid collector of cars. Please note that all of the cars in the Jay Cimino Collection have been stored in a climate-controlled environment for many years, with only limited driving. The Jay Cimino team has confirmed that the vehicles start and run. Please note, however, as a result of their extended storage and static display, all the cars will benefit from additional mechanical attention before being driven.
