Built the 4th week of January 1969 at the Van Nuys, CA plant, this example left the factory in LeMans Blue (Code 71) with a black deluxe interior (Code 712) and loaded with options:

(Z22) Rally Sport Package
(Z28) Special Performance Package
(M21) Muncie 4-Speed
(G80) Positraction
(J52) Power Disc Brakes

Less than 10% of 1969 Z28s were ordered with Rally Sport, making this car especially collectible.

Owned by the same caretaker since 1985, it received a rotisserie restoration completed in 2016 and has traveled under 200 miles since. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased it in April 2025, investing $32,941.32 in service and detail to take it to an even higher level. September 2025 marks the first time this car is being offered for sale.

Highlights:

Exterior: Mostly original sheet metal, refinished in original LeMans Blue with white stripes. Paint corrected & resprayed in 2025 for a flawless finish ($15,000 invested). Hideaway headlights fully functional. Factory-style 15” Rally wheels with new Firestone tires.

Interior: Restored black deluxe trim with comfort-weave upholstery, woodgrain accents, console w/ gauges, Hurst shifter, new floor mats, and a restored trunk with spare/jack tools.

Engine Bay: Matching-numbers DZ302 V8 rebuilt by Hill Country Performance. Correct 186 heads, restored Holley #4053 carb, factory manifolds, chambered exhaust, and correct date-coded components. Coupled to a Muncie 4-speed manual and POSI rear end with 3.73 gears.

Undercarriage: Highly detailed with factory-style markings, correct gray spiral shocks, and fresh suspension, fuel, and braking systems—worthy of mirror display at shows.

This Z28 has been featured in Car Culture Magazine (2019) and comes with restoration photos, receipts, and documentation. It’s not just a muscle car—it’s a piece of American automotive history, restored and authenticated at the highest level.
