For Sale: 1971 Chevrolet El Camino in Burnet, Texas

Vehicle Description

This beautiful 1971 El Camino is a garage kept car that spent its entire life in California, until it was recently relocated to Central Texas with its family. Originally equipped with a 350 engine and automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, disc brakes, and air conditioning. This car has been fully restored with many upgrades.

The interior is a 9.9 out of 10. The original interior was completely removed and the cab was lined with dynamat for sound and heat barrier before all new carpet, door panels, leather bench seat with fold down arm rest and dash cap were installed. The air conditioning vents are new, as well as the air ducts and HVAC system.

The inside of the doors have been cleaned and greased to allow the new glass to glide up and down smoothly. All new weather-stripping and window trim keeps the glass and doors tightly sealed while cruising down the road.

Everything inside the car functions as it should (i.e cigarette lighter, glove box light, indicator lights, etc) A few modern touches have been made to the interior including a Bluetooth equipped radio complete with updated speakers in the factory location.

The exterior sports a driver quality metallic grey paint job finished in all new trim, bumpers, handles and lights. Paint has been professionally ceramic coated. The inside of the bed has a non-slip, permanent bed liner. The body is very straight and does not appear to have been wrecked. The car is 100% rust free.

The brakes and suspension have been upgraded with tubular A-arms, new springs all the way around, and modern brakes.

Under the hood you will find a very mild 383 small block with Vortec cylinder heads, aluminum intake manifold, Holley 650 carburetor with electric choke, and new HEI distributor. Under the hood is extremely clean, with little touches like the one-piece “El Camino” hood mat and radiator show panel giving it a finished appearance at car shows. Most everything is new, and a lot of time was spent professionally restoring the engine compartment for years of reliability. The air conditioning system has been updated with a modern compressor and refrigerant.

The transmission is a remanufactured Turbo 350 with a mild shift kit. The rear axle has 3.30 gears with posi-traction.

This car is a dream to drive. This is a well-mannered car with an extremely smooth ride with minimal, if any, road noise. But don’t let the quiet, smooth ride fool you, it also has plenty of performance when you step on the throttle and effortlessly maneuver around corners. The torque of the 383 growls nicely through the flow master exhaust and has that classic muscle car sound.
