This 1940 Ford Deluxe 4 Door Period Correct Hot Rod Is A Rare Item. In The Past Decades The 4 Doors Were Raped Of Parts For 2 Door Coupe Hot Rod Builds And The 4 Doors Were Crushed And Thrown Away. The Times Have Changed In Recent Years And Now People Are Looking For 4 door Sedans To Cruise With There Family On The Weekends.
This is a body off the frame complete restoration down to every nut & bolt. Everything has been powder coated, painted & re-chromed or polished. Parts that were not salvageable were replaced with new parts. The original Flathead 221 ci V-8 has been restored along with the original 3 speed transmission and rear end. The engine has been upgraded with a period correct Offenhauser 3 Duce intake manifold and Super 97 Stromberg carburetors, Updated with a Pro Billet Aluminum Crab Style Distributor and Per Tronix Flame Trower Coil, the radiator has been replaced with a 4 core aluminum radiator, the mechanical fuel pump has been replaced with a Holley Red electric fuel pump, the exhaust manifolds have been replaced with period correct Sanderson Exhaust Headers & 2 1/2” dual exhaust pipes with stainless steel resonator mufflers, electric cutouts for open exhaust & stainless steel exhaust tips, the electrical system has been replaced with all new wires and updated with a fuse panel, 12 volt conversion & the generator was replaced with a polished aluminum PowerMaster Alternator, These upgrades are subtle changes but still have that period correct Hot Rod look. The exterior is 100% Stock with the original paint colors Black & Folkestone Gray. The new interior still has the original appearance of light grey pho suede and dark gray leather. The trunk & floor mats are custom made with a Chrome Red 1940 Ford Deluxe Logo. The original steering wheel has been restored and the dashboard has kept a stock clean appearance. The radio has been updated with a stock appearance Custom Autosound model # USA-740 stereo with Bluetooth. It has an upgraded speaker in the original dash location; but can be upgraded with modern speaker systems and amps. In place of the original antenna it has a Bluetooth microphone & phone charging port.
This complete body off the frame restoration has less than 1000 miles on it since its completion. Every where it has been driven or taken to shows it has gathered a crowd and is sure to have the same effect for you.
