One Owner purchased in November 2007 at Whidbey Island Ford in Oak Harbor, Washington. The sales people and the owner of the dealership pushed harder than normal. They had the $20,000 dealer premium so I told them that that was deal breaker. They took $15,000 off that so i sighed the deal for around $55,000. Unknown to me the dealership was going under and they had to send the car back to Ford in a couple days, They closed their doors a few days later. There is now an unrelated dealer named Oak Harbor Motors at that address.
I have enjoyed it for 13600 miles. It has always been garaged. It is a dealer car with options like DVD Navigation, HID Headlights, Sirius Radio Tuner and Premium GT500 trim. It has the Shelby Dash Plaque with certified Carol Shelby Signature. I have documentation including the US plant where assembled and date of manufacture (9/7/2007) from Ford and Shelby. I installed billet control arms, cold air intake, Flowmaster Mufflers,.and a tune from VMP Tuning, delivered on an XCT X3 tuner, included. The engine leaned out on number 1 after installing the cold air intake so I needed a tune to handle the modification. If you want to take it back to stock the OEM tune is in the tuner and is easy to install. The original air box and control arms are also included. I have never raced the car so don't have performance details but it is impressive for 2007 2008 and the tune added a noticeable increase in performance feel.
This is a low mileage car (13,6XX) that has been cared for and kept in great shape. There were 737 GT 500 in Torch Red with Black Interior in 2008 It has options not found in most of these cars because it is a dealer car. If you are looking for a well documented car with certifications signed by Carol Shelby and Edsel Ford this is your next car, or fun toy. The depreciation bottomed a few years ago and now is appreciating. It should continue to appreciate in the future.
