Been thinking about finding a classic muscle car restoration
project to take on, but you want to be able to enjoy your new ride
right away as you make improvements, and not have it languish on
jack stands in your driveway? Then this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS
could be just what you're looking for. It features a solid
foundation and a well-configured drivetrain, and while it may not
reach its full potential without a little work, some of the most
important steps have already been taken, and you'll have the
opportunity to take to the asphalt just as soon as you get it home.
Just imagine the visual impact and driving enjoyment this Chevy
classic will offer when it's returned to its former glory. Still
wearing its factory-correct Ermine White exterior that's ornamented
with some sharp billet pieces, it's a member of the inaugural class
of Camaros that made a huge impression on the car-buying public,
and with its low-slung, muscular appearance, it's easy to see
why.
Its factory-correct black vinyl interior is still in place, and
while you can see evidence of the passing years inside the cabin,
it still has that authentic vintage identity that transports you
back in time. The bucket seats are intact and structurally sound,
bracketing a full-floor center console that houses a B&M
shifter. On each side, billet door handles and window cranks add a
bit of custom appeal, while the carpeting lining the floor below is
in perfectly sound shape, and the dash area still carries its array
of factory gauges. A vintage-style AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth
connectivity has also been added to the interior to provide your
own personal soundtrack during your journeys.
Beneath the hood, a fresh 350 cubic-inch V8 stands by in the engine
compartment. Fed by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor perched on an
Edelbrock intake manifold, it's dressed up with a serpentine belt
system and pairs with a smooth-shifting 4-speed automatic 700R4
transmission with an overdrive gear to make this vintage muscle car
well-suited to highway driving. A Ron Davis aluminum radiator sits
up front, teaming with a pair of electric fans to keep operating
temperatures in check. Power steering makes this Camaro easy to
navigate, and the system's billet aluminum reservoir, one of
several billet components featured, adds to the appearance of the
engine bay.
