There is something about a classic truck that has been modified and
selectively modernized that is just special. Whether it is
goosebumps or a Joker-like smile, one look at a truck like this
1956 Ford F-100 in person is guaranteed to elicit a reaction. Fully
repainted in a matte grey, this resto-modded truck features a
custom one-piece tilt-forward front end, custom first-gen-inspired
front grille, and upgraded windows with a vent window delete,
allowing for a clean single-pane side glass look.
Inside, we find a red and black interior highlighted by a set of
wild-looking aftermarket steel bucket seats separated by a
custom-fabricated steel center console, complete with dual
cupholders. A banjo-style, power-assisted steering wheel sits just
in front of a six-pod Dolphin gauge cluster, accentuated by a large
140 mph speedometer and an 8,000 rpm tachometer, each flanked by a
set of auxiliary gauges on either side. A Pioneer
AM/FM/CD/Aux/Bluetooth head unit offers far more soundtrack options
than the original AM unit it replaces, and situated under the dash,
does not upset the clean look of the dashboard.
Tilt that big front end forward, and inside, we find a 350
cubic-inch V-8 engine. A single four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor
sits mounted on a polished air gap-style intake manifold. An
aftermarket cam operates lightweight aluminum heads, while spent
gases are expelled through a set of shorty headers connected to a
dual exhaust and ultimately exiting via a set of Glasspack-style
mufflers. Power is routed through a column-shifted TH400
three-speed automatic transmission before being sent out to the
12-bolt rear end.

This 1956 Ford F-100 achieves its slammed look thanks to an
independent front end suspension that appears to have been donated
by a late-model GM vehicle, while its solid axle rear end maintains
the old-school feel of the line. A quartet of massive 20-inch
American Racing wheels are shod in a staggered set of tires, with a
set of 235/55R-20 Atrezzo rubber up front, and a pair of wide
295/30R-20 Pirelli PZero tires out back. Barely hiding behind those
huge wheels are a set of power disc brakes at all four corners,
giving this muscle truck a well-rounded performance personality. If
you are like us and can't help but react when a well-done throwback
truck rumbles by, then don't wait another second. Call today!
