This Charger 500 was meticulously rotisserie restored over an eight year period under the skilled hands of Rick Lumsden. The original 383 was replaced with a 440 that was pro built bu Kens Custom Machine of Winnipeg MB. The car has a 440 engine that has been stroked and bored out to 493 CID. It has a Crower solid roller cam with Crower roller lifters and valve springs. The heads are Edelbrock aluminum Performer RPM units with Harland Sharp roller rockers. – ARP Bolts Diamond pistons were matched to the heads to a 10.6:1 compression ratio that works great on Premium pump fuel. The crank and rods are Eagle HP units with ARP bolts in the rods, heads and mains. All the machine work was done at Ken's Kustom Machine in Winnipeg. Keeping with me plan, the fuel system was upgraded to a complete multiport EFI system along with a coil near plug with individual coils for each cylinder. The system utilizes a F.A.S.T. XFI computer for the fuel side and a F.A.S.T. XIM controller for the MSD coils. Fuel pumps are a carter low pressure unit that supplies fuel to a surge tank up front with an Aeromotive A1000 high pressure pump inside that suger tank to feed the 8 fuel injectors. Exhaust is fed out a pair of Doug's large tube headers to a Magnaflow 3" stainless exhaust system with two stainless mufflers and two stainless resonators to quiet the beast down a bit. The engine makes near 600 HP and has run a high 11 second pass at the Gimli dragstrip. The transmission has a multitude of upgrades for durability including upgraded clutches, drums, roller clutches and valve body from various manufacturers like A&A Transmissions, TCS Products, Raybestos etc. and was fitted with a 3500 stall converter. The driveshaft is a Bears Racing chrome moly unit with spicer 1350 U- joints. The differential is a Dana 60 unit with 3.54:1 gears with a Track Lok sure grip. It has Moser 30 spline axles and 11 inch drum brakes on the rear plus a rear sway bar. Q/A shocks front and rear.

I have owned this car for two years now. At 72 yrs of age, I am selling my collection.. I have hardly driven it – it is too nice. It is a cherished ornament in my garage. It is time for her to go to a new home. I purchased R/T badges for the ft and rear only for cosmetics. The original 500 badges are in the glove box. I also have a set of R/T scoops and a box full of documents for the car. Odometer shows 8, 535 miles. The car is immaculate in every way. She is a jewel that would be very hard to be replace.
