Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1983 Jeep CJ-7. This
classic Jeep comes to us today dressed in a high-quality respray of
what we believe is the original color - Slate Blue Metallic. The
paint looks fantastic on the vehicle and it's in high driver
quality condition with minimal imperfections that are few and far
between. Up front you'll find the iconic 7-slot vertical grille
flanked by round headlights and turn signals with bright bezels.
Above is a curved hood with side hold-downs and beneath is a
black-painted steel bumper. On full display from the side view is
the like-new black soft top with matching soft doors. The top is in
excellent condition and the plastic windows are crystal clear. Over
all four wheels you'll find black fender flares. Both sides of the
Jeep are outfitted with black side mirrors, body-color steel
side-steps, and grey rocker molding. The stance is fantastic and it
sits on a set of like-new chrome alloy wheels all wrapped in Nexen
Radian XT tires that really complete the look. Around back you'll
see a new spare tire on a matching wheel mounted on the tailgate
and a single drivers side exhaust exit.
Lift the hood to reveal a tidy engine bay with a 4.2 liter 258ci
AMC inline 6-cylinder engine at the center. The engine is topped
off with a sporty black finned "JEEP" valve cover. Other highlights
include power steering, a chrome K&N air filter, and a new
2-barrel carburetor. The 6-cylinder is mated up to a Borg-Warner
5-speed manual transmission and a Dana 300 transfer case that
offers 4-wheel drive. Stopping power comes courtesy of power front
disc and rear drum brakes.
Great looks continue when you open the drivers door. Step up and
have a seat in one of the comfortable blue vinyl denim-look bucket
seats. There's a matching bench seat in the rear and all are in
good condition. The front buckets are split by a black steel center
console box with a blue vinyl armrest, cupholders, and a storage
caddy. Rising up from the blue steel floor are shifters for the
5-speed transmission and the 4-wheel drive - both with black boots.
A body-color steel roll bar adds to the look and safety factor.
Ahead of the driver is an OEM 3-spoke steering wheel with a black
ring and working horn on a tilt column. Ahead of the passenger is a
glovebox and a grab-handle for when the adventure gets a little
bumpy. The dash is blue painted steel with a blue dashpad with Jeep
logo. There's an 85mph speedometer with integrated temp & fuel
gauges and an odometer that reads 100,730 miles. Gauges for battery
and oil pressure are just above a radio-delete panel. There are
also working dash lights, working 2-speed wipers, and a working
heater & fan. Additionally, there are blue visors and a fold-down
windshield.
If you're looking for a summertime-fun adventure vehicle that looks
so nice you could take it out for a night on the town then this
Jeep is just perfect for you! It really checks a lot of boxes -
fresh paint, like-new soft top and doors, great-looking wheels &
tires, 5-speed, and 4-wheel drive! No matter whether you're on a
road or a dusty trail, this Jeep is sure to put a smile on your
face!
