Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1969 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Hardtop
Coupe. Real 242 Car with matching numbers 400CI Engine with
aftermarket Demon Carb and Hi Energy Ignition coupled with the 3
Speed Turbo Hydramatic Transmission with console shift. Restored
car with 95,186 miles on the Odometer. Restoration thought to be
done about 12-15 years ago. The GTO received a full refresh for the
model year, with the boxy, sharp-edged design and Coke bottle
profile of the previous generation replaced with a curvaceous,
swoopy new look. Highlights included long hood/short deck
proportions, a two-part grille separated by a body-colored center
section, horizontal, quad headlights instead of the former stacked
motif, and a sloping, semi-fastback treatment to the rear roofline.
The wheelbase was shortened some three inches and the car's overall
length by close to six inches. This Goat was purchased in 2021 by
the current owner and features factory AC, PS, PB, AM/FM with 8
Track player, GTO Floor mats, woodgrain trim, Hood Tach and Hood
Scoops. Aftermarket Autogage gauges for water temp, oil pressure
and volts mounted under the dash. Work performed since purchase
includes new master cylinder, new power steering pump, new water
pump, new motor and transmission mounts, new fan clutch and new
stainless steel transmission lines. Starlight Black Repaint on the
car shows well overall with imperfections and cracking along the
front grill and hood and also behind the rear window as shown.
Interior is very clean with black vinyl buckets seats in excellent
condition, beautiful dash and headliner in excellent condition.
Some minor wear on the driver's door armrest as shown. All the
original body panels line up nicely on the car and all of the
Chrome, trim and GTO badging is intact and in excellent condition.
Trunk is clean and solid and was repainted during restoration. Rear
Spoiler. Undercarriage is clean and has been undercoated and
features a great sounding Imco dual exhaust set-up. Car rides on
new Riken Raptor tires 215 50 ZR17s on the Front and 255 50ZR17's
in the rear mounted on custom chrome Rev Wheels in excellent
condition. Some issues that require attention include, AC has a
leak and doesn't blow cold, Radio is not connected. Car runs,
drives, shifts and handles very well. Everything works for passing
MA State Inspection. Car comes with PHS Documentation some receipts
for work completed and a clean title in the owner's name. Stored in
MA. Possibly open to trades for later model Shelby Mustang
Convertible. Call Jeff to learn more about this Iconic GOAT! Thanks
