1983 Datsun/Nissan 720 Pickup. Built in April 1983, the only year these vehicles were labeled with both the Datsun and Nissan names. 1982 was Datsun, 1984 was Nissan. Truly a unique edition.
I am the second owner. It was purchased new by my late brother in law originally in Olympia Washington. It spent a good portion of it's life in Mesquite Nevada. My brother in law loved this truck! He took exceptional care of it. He agreed to sell it to me before he passed after a battle with cancer. He knew I would care for it like he did. I am sure he is still super proud of it.
As you will see in the photos I have exceptional provenance on this beauty, the original service manual, many maintenance receipts even his gas mileage records.
It runs and drives great. There is no rust on the body whatsoever. If you remember back in the day these vehicles rusted and fell apart around the motor while it still chugged along. I will disclose there are 3 small wrinkles on the body. A scrape on the right rear quarter panel. A small dent on the right front fender, and a ripple in the front bumper. I included multiple photos of all the damage.
This is a 42 year old vehicle in great shape due to a devoted owner. You will not find another example of this unique transition year for Datsun/Nissan in this condition. In my opinion a Nissan dealership should buy it and display it in their showroom.
Finally, this old truck's name is Ojisan, which means Most Honorable Grandfather in Japanese.
