To mark 70 years of creating some of the most recognizable bespoke
color schemes and racing liveries in automotive history, Ferrari's
Tailor Made division offered 70 legendary liveries from the
marque's illustrious past on limited-edition examples of its modern
lineup. This particular F12berlinetta draws its inspiration from
one of the most evocative and iconic coachbuilt Ferraris ever
created: the ex-Ingrid Bergman 375 MM Coupe Speciale.
Commissioned in 1954 by actress Ingrid Bergman's husband, director
Roberto Rossellini, chassis number 0456 AM was finished by Pinin
Farina in a distinctive champagne-gold shade-the iconic paint color
that Ferrari would name Grigio Ingrid after its intended
owner-complemented by tan leather upholstery. Unveiled in Paris in
1954, the striking one-off design incorporated inboard rotating
headlights and bulbous, faired-over fenders into a sweeping
streamlined profile that united the nose, greenhouse, and
buttressed rear quarters into one continuous curve. Though Bergman
never took delivery due to her divorce from Rossellini, the car
remains forever linked to the Swedish three-time Academy Award
winner and continues to be revered as one of Maranello's most
significant coachbuilt creations.
Paying homage to this special Ferrari, The Ingrid livery was
available on one special edition example of each contemporary
Ferrari model-the California T, 488 GTB, 488 Spider, F12berlinetta,
and GTC4Lusso-for a strictly limited run of just five vehicles
worldwide. As a result, the F12berlinetta presented here is the
sole example finished in a tribute to the ex-Ingrid Bergman 375 MM
Coupe Speciale, wearing Grigio Ingrid paintwork with a subtle matte
black grille and Argento Nrburgring-finished wheels. Inside, a
Nero and Ochre Connolly Vaumol leather interior is trimmed in a
ribbed pattern on the seats, joined by vintage-style rubber floor
mats evoking Ferrari Gran Turismos of the '50s and '60s. A special
dedication plaque on the center console lid reads "1/1 inspired by
375 MM Pinin Farina berlinetta 1954."
In addition to its coveted 70th Anniversary designation, the
F12berlinetta was also equipped with the Adaptive Frontlight
System, suspension lifter, Apple CarPlay, dual view front parking
camera, electrochromic interior and exterior mirrors, passenger
display, full electric seats, and more. Originally delivered in
August 2017 through Ferrari South Bay in Torrance, California, this
example has remained with its original owner in well-preserved
condition, recording fewer than 4,600 miles from new at the time of
cataloging. Befitting its low mileage and one-owner status, the car
retains exclusive 70th Anniversary Edition delivery items,
including its Tailor Made box containing a pewter model of the car
and a Tailor Made coffee table book.
As one of only five 70th Anniversary models adorned with "The
Ingrid" livery from Ferrari's Tailor Made division, and the only
F12berlinetta of its kind, this outstanding limited-edition Ferrari
combines the company's heritage with modern performance from the
marque's flagship front-engine V12 model. With just one private
owner from new, this F12berlinetta is ideal for any collector with
an appreciation for the marque's history seeking a limited edition,
low-mileage example.
