INTRODUCTION: What a beautiful example of one of America's favorite
cars! This really is one of the prettiest '65 Mustangs I've seen.
The list of features is really impressive too: GT, a/c, pony
interior and much more.
EXTERIOR: What a beauty! The Silver Blue Poly paint with white
accents is a fantastic combination. It has been applied with great
attention to detail then polished to a slick and shiny finish. All
the panels have been wonderfully aligned with nice, tight,
consistent gaps. The doors close easily with minimal effort.
Looking down the side of the beautifully straight body is
satisfying with all its sharp lines and smooth contours. The front
grill is in fantastic condition and I'm a big fan of the optional
fog lamps. The tail lights and chrome bezels have also been
replaced. The bumpers were re-chromed and the remaining bright work
all has a glorious shine. The "289" and "GT" emblems let them know
this pony was born to run. It has dual side view mirrors. All the
glass, rubber seals, and fuzzy strips were replaced. The white
vinyl convertible top was also replaced and it has a matching boot.
The ensemble is rolling on a gorgeous set of 14 inch chrome GT rims
wrapped in radial white wall tires.
INTERIOR: I'm absolutely in love with this deluxe two-tone pony
interior. The seats have been reupholstered and re-cushioned.
Everything fits nice and tight and they are very comfortable as
well. It is equipped with front seatbelts. The deluxe molded door
panels have also been replaced and the driver side has a toggle for
the remote side view mirror. The dash pad was replaced and the
lower portion of the dash repainted. The gauges, gauge bezel, glove
box door, glove box liner, knobs and levers have all been restored,
easily displaying the quality of work that went into refurbishing
this car. The air conditioning unit is neatly mounted under the
dash. The emergency brake handle assembly was even replaced. A
Bluetooth stereo fits in the factory holes and also has a
hands-free calling microphone. It is outfitted with a tilt column
and beautiful real wood Shelby style steering wheel. The automatic
shifter is in great shape plus the carpeting and sun visors have
been replaced. Embroidered pony floor mats nicely finish off this
interior.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This car was born with the "A" code performance
289 cubic inch V8 which has been rebuilt and nicely outfitted with
air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. It is topped off
with a Holley 4 barrel carburetor and Edelbrock performer intake
manifold. Ribbed aluminum Cobra valve covers, chrome air cleaner
and chrome shock tower braces dress up the bay nicely. It's
equipped with an upgraded aluminum radiator and optima red top gel
battery. The horns and squirters are hooked up. All the belts and
hoses have been replaced. The underside of the trunk lid is painted
body color, plus the fender wells and firewall are neatly painted
black.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and inside the
jamb are painted just like the exterior. The weather stripping was
replaced. Inside is a full size spare tire with a vinyl cover and a
matching vinyl trunk mat. Under the mat is all solid rust-free
steel painted body color. A car cover is also included.
UNDERSIDE: It looks like a rotisserie restoration. The front end
steering and suspension has been completely rebuilt. It has
upgraded strut rods, swaybar and Borgeson power steering. The rear
suspension has new springs, bushings and gas shocks. New fuel
system including the tank, sending unit and lines. Dual exhaust
with a crossover pipe, polished stainless mufflers and the GT tips
going out through the valance. Upgraded Wilwood brake system with
disc at all four wheels and new e-brake assembly. Looking up at the
motor it looks brand new, so does the C4 automatic transmission. A
rebuilt driveshaft goes back to the rear end, it's been apart and
serviced. The floors are all metal painted in the red oxide primer.
It is detailed under this car!
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: So now you see this isn't just another Mustang! The
colors are absolutely striking and all the features make it very
desirable. Someone is really going to enjoy this piece of
Americana!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
