1952 Plymouth Belvedere Cranbrook - Awesome example of early Mopar styling with some traditional mild custom touches that really set it apart from the rest! RARE Cranbrook 2-door hardtop model that was built by a hot rod shop in South Carolina roughly 10 years ago. This car still looks as good as it runs and turns heads everywhere it goes. Great cruiser that is very comfortable and can be enjoyed by all ages. Powered by the original 218ci "flathead" inline-6 that has been rebuilt with a few performance goodies such as an Offenhauser dual-carb aluminum intake, upgraded cam, custom exhaust, Petronix electronic ignition, electronic fuel pump and 12-volt conversion. Motor runs like a top and idles as smooth as a sewing machine. Original 3-speed transmission shifts like butter and makes it alot of fun to buzz down the backroads. Suspension has been tastefully lowered with drop springs up front and adjustable air shocks in the rear. Exterior is finished in a classy two-tone "Dove Gray" paint scheme with excellent chrome and trim from front to back. Lacquer paint still shows beautifully for its age however there is some minor crazing starting to show on the trunk. Car has been nosed and decked with frenched headlights and taillights and all body modifications were done traditionally using lead. Car really looks the part with a set of oversized fender skirts and rides on a set of 15" steel wheels with Firestone bias-ply tires and correct Plymouth hubcaps that have been traditionally customized with an accessory bullet insert. Interior is very clean with plush original-style upholstery and carpet throughout. Factory dash and gauges are still in-tact while a modern Bluetooth stereo system is conveniently hidden out of sight behind the front speaker grille. Engine bay is nicely detailed and the underside is super solid. In a custom world full of 50's-era Merc's, Ford's and Chevy's, dare to be different!
