The second-generation BMW M3, introduced to the U.S. market in
1995, marked a dramatic evolution of the M formula. Refined,
smooth, and deceptively civil, the new E36 M3 traded the raw edge
of its predecessor for a more mature grand touring character
-though underneath its tailored silhouette, it remained every bit
the track weapon. It was the first M3 to receive BMW's now-revered
inline-six: an S50 3.0-liter unit producing 240 horsepower and 225
lb-ft of torque. Other Motorsport upgrades from the standard
3-Series included a deeper front spoiler and revised rear valance,
17-inch light-alloy wheels, M-specific side mirrors, and a lowered
chassis with recalibrated springs and large-diameter anti-roll
bars.
This 1995 BMW M3 Coupe is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over
a matching Black leather interior. It boasts a five-speed manual
transmission and has been optioned with a power-operated sunroof,
heated front seats, cruise control, and on-board computer with
remote control.
A clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows that the car was first
registered in Oregon in October 1995, where it remained until 2013.
It was then exported to British Columbia, accumulating most of its
mileage there before returning to the U.S. in 2021, where it stayed
in dealer inventory in Washington. In September 2023, it was sold
to its most recent owner, a prominent collector based in the
Netherlands. The car returned to the United States in July 2025 and
is now offered with 27,602 miles at cataloging.
This low-mileage 1995 BMW M3 presents a rare opportunity to acquire
a well-preserved, collector-grade example of BMW's definitive 1990s
performance icon. A sports car powerhouse clothed in
sophistication, it remains a hallmark M car that bridges analog
purity with timeless driving dynamics and modern engineering.
