This 1948 Ford F-1 pickup spent its life as a rust free highly
original survivor vehicle prior to its acquisition and start of the
body-off restoration that was complete in 2015. This is an all
original steel truck that is Finished with Omni basecoat clearcoat
paint in Sterling Grey (2012 Ford F-150 color) over grey vinyl
upholstery interior. The truck is powered by the correct rebuilt
239ci flathead V8 paired with three-speed manual transmission. Work
during restoration included disassembling the entire vehicle,
resealing the engine, rebuilding the transmission, overhauling the
bed and suspension, performing metal work for a laser straight
finish, replacing numerous parts to bring it to a show truck that
is turn key ready to cruise. This vehicle has been recently
serviced and is ready to drive long distance with no excuse. This
Ford pickup is being offered with its record book filled with
receipts from maintenance as well as restoration and photos. This
truck also has a clean actual mileage title.During restoration of
this all steel truck the bed was removed from the frame, the cab
was refinished as well as fenders and running boards. Bodywork
included sanding the entire vehicle down, smoothing every panel to
a straight finish, priming the vehicle and repainting to a
beautiful mirror finish. The bed was completed with a custom oak
wood bed floor with stainless-steel runners. Additional features
include dual exhausts, removable side stakes, electric windshield
wipers, chrome side mirrors, grille, bumpers and accessories.
Matching grey painted steel wheels feature chrome trim rings and
hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone whitewall tires. The springs
and shocks have been replaced along with the brake master cylinder,
brake lines, wheel cylinders, and bushings.The cabin houses a bench
seat that has been reupholstered in gray and red vinyl, black
rubber-lined floors and a replacement headliner. Equipment includes
a column mount shifter, a glovebox, and opening front 3/4 vent
windows.A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color
metal dash that host the original gauge cluster with 100-mph
speedometer and a suite of auxiliary gauges. The odometer shows
45,710 miles and is stated as actual mileage on the title.The 239ci
flathead V8 was disassembled, resealed and repainted during the
restoration. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a
column-shifted three-speed manual transmission that was rebuilt at
