Here is a truck that looks awesome in its deep gloss black paint
job. This 1968 Chevrolet C10 has a great stance, with straight body
panels and consistent gaps. The cowl induction hood pairs nicely
with the rear spoiler, which flows smoothly into the gloss black
painted tonneau cover. The front grille and bumper retain a very
original look, while the rear has shaved tailgate handles and a
clean roll pan. Riddler wheels and chrome tailpipes integrate
perfectly to complete the finishing touches on this amazing-looking
truck.
Black carries to the interior, with Carrera bucket seats featuring
red stitching. The center console follows the same theme-black with
red stitching. The carpets are clean, the cloth headliner looks
sharp, and the door panels are in very nice condition, also with
red stitching. A custom steering wheel connects to an IDIDIT
steering column, which runs to the dash where the gauge cluster
hosts a full set of Autometer gauges. Off to the right is a Sony
head unit with AM/FM/CD/AUX powering a custom set of speakers in
the kick panels and a custom box between the seats. A B&M
shifter sits in the middle of the cabin, while the rest of the
interior-including the dash pad, door jambs, and door sills are all
clean and in great shape. The truck bed features Mahogany wooden
planks finished with 11 coats of lacquer, giving it a fantastic
look.
Under the hood looks outstanding. All hoses and wires are
well-organized. There is an aluminum radiator with dual electric
fans, a Red Top Optima battery, and a March-style serpentine pulley
system. The 350-cubic-inch engine is painted Chevy orange, with
black-out Chevrolet valve covers and an air cleaner cover. For
extra horsepower, the engine is equipped with a Mother Thumper Comp
Cam, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and an Edelbrock
carburetor. Power runs through a TH350 3-speed automatic
transmission to a 12-bolt rear axle.
For suspension, this C10 has a CPP Grand Slam 3-inch drop kit. Up
front are tubular control arms, coil springs, shocks, and a sway
bar, while the rear features trailing arms, coil springs, shocks,
and a sway bar. Black 18-inch Riddler wheels with beauty rings are
wrapped in 255/45R18 front tires and 295/45R18 rear tires. CPP
drilled and slotted power disc brakes are mounted on all four
corners, while long-tube headers flow into dual exhaust with
Flowmaster mufflers.
