1966 Chevrolet C10 1/2ton fleetside pickup. One owner, garaged for the last 30 years. My father's pride and joy! It's never been in an accident and there are no large dents or signs of rust. In the late 80's-early 90's, it was painted and the original L32 283 and M20 4 speed transmission were changed out to a 350 V8 high rise Edelbrock 4bbl., a dual feed 4 bbl. carburetor, chrome dress up kit and headers that feed into a dual feed exhaust system, with a 3-speed automatic transmission. It was also converted to power steering. Once the upgrades were complete, my father only drove it on special occasions.
The paint is of original quality and painted in the correct schema. 544 red & white two-tone. The driver door has a small crack in some filler and the rear lower corner of the passenger door has some filler. There are light rub marks in the paint of the lower passenger side.
Deluxe interior is free of wear and tears. The original C42 deluxe heater is present and functional. A MICO hydraulic parking brake was added, probably when it had a camper mounted. The wiring needs some cord-management to be aesthetically pleasing. The original 12 bolt rear end is equipped and in good condition. Front suspension links are good but need to be greased.
Original trim, lights, hardware, windows, gauges, bed and mats. The bed and tailgate are in good condition and a newer tonneau cover is installed. Stock wheels and hubcaps are retained and in good condition. A box of hubcaps and towing mirrors is included. Original manual, documents, transmission and clutch pedal also included.
The truck has been recently serviced since removal from storage. The fuel tank was removed and cleaned; new carburetor, fuel pump, ignition, brake hydraulics, belts, hoses installed and fluids replaced. The tires are out of date.
She runs great and is a head-turner!! A recent appraisal graded the body at 8 out of 10 and the truck overall as Good/Very Good 3+ out of 5.
