This 1982 Jeep CJ-7 is a really cool, really clean Jeep that the
last owner built an maintained for the last 27 years. Unfortunately
he passed away and we purchased from his daughter so we will give
you all of the details we can. This is an all steel Arizona Jeep
that was built as a very capable and reliable CJ that was used
primarily for desert cruise and his annual Elk hunt. He only put
around 20,000 miles on it over the last 27 years. There are a lot
of cool upgrades on this Jeep and it was set up so you could tow it
behind a vehicle (includes tow bar and wiring). The body on this CJ
is clean and straight. It was professionally repainted at some
point in a really cool Iridescent paint scheme that changes
depending what light you are in. The paint can look like a deep
metallic blue or deep emerald green depending on the light. It
looks really cool in person. The underside is really nice on this
Jeep and we found no rust issues with it at all. It has an
aftermarket front bumper with a Warn 9,000 pound winch that does
work. The rear bumper is also an aftermarket with a built in swing
away tire carrier and a hi-lift jack. It has the factory hard top
and hard doors and there is an led light bar that works attached to
the hard top as well as a roof rack. It also has upgraded LED
headlights and taillights.
The interior is really nice. When the Jeep was painted the inside
of the tub was professionally bed-lined and the seat were redone
with a waterproof type of cover with matching door panels. It has a
newer dash pad, locking center console, factory roll bar, and tilt
steering. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals
are all working. The LED light bar works. The windshield wipers,
horn, and heat are also working.
Mechanically this Jeep is excellent. It starts easily and runs
great. It drives down the road excellent. The engine is a mildly
built AMC 401 V8 that runs strong with no issues or red flags that
we found. It has an Edelbrock Electronic Fuel Injection kit
installed, Mallory Electronic Ignition, mild cam, and dual exhaust.
The engine will get up and go if you need it to. It has the T-176 4
Speed Manual Transmission that shifts great with a good clutch. It
is mated to the Dana 300 transfer case and the 4WD works like it
should. The rear axle is the AMC 20 with an ARB Air Locker and 4.10
gears. The front axle is a Dana 30 with an ARB Air Locker and 4.10
gears. It has Chrome Moly Shafts, HD Ball Joints, and CMT U-joints
to strengthen the front. It has all spring 4 Inch lift with shackle
reversal up front. It has stainless brake hoses, HD Shackles, and
Rancho 9,000 Shocks. It has an upgraded power steering system and
power front disc brakes. It recently had 2 new Optima Batteries
installed. This is all sitting on aftermarket aluminum wheels with
35 Inch Goodyear MTR tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
