The 2006 Aston Martin DBRS9, chassis DBRS9/7, represents one of
just 26 customer cars built as a more accessible yet formidable
counterpart to the DBR9. Purpose-built for GT3 competition, the
DBRS9 offered much of the performance of Aston Martins factory GT1
car at a fraction of the complexity. Chassis DBRS9/7 has a proven
racing history, highlighted by a pole position at Road Atlanta and
fastest lap at Mid-Ohio, and today the race car produces 600
horsepower following a series of upgrades. This example is
presented in Aston Martin Racing Green livery, has been recently
serviced, and is eligible for Masters Historic Racing GT Trophy,
HSR, and other vintage racing series, making it an ideal choice for
the gentleman racer. Delivered new to Autosport Designs in
Huntington Station, New York, in February 2006, chassis DBRS9/7 was
homologated to SCCA Speed World Challenge GT specifications and
campaigned throughout the season. After its first year, the Aston
Martin received numerous upgrades, including dry-sump lubrication,
revised internals, and Vanquish S cylinder heads. John Sinders
acquired the car prior to the 2008 season and had it further
prepared by Rahal Letterman Racing, who implemented significant
revisions to improve balance, lower ride height, and enhance
suspension geometry. The Aston Martin competed in the 2008 and 2010
World Challenge seasons, securing competitive results before
passing through the hands of Rick Mancuso and later Jeff Urbina.
The Aston Martin was most recently acquired by the current owner,
who has ensured the Aston Martin remains in strong mechanical
order. The exterior of DBRS9/7 is finished in Aston Martin Racing
Green, presenting with the purposeful stance of a modern GT3
machine. The bodywork remains in presentable racing condition, with
expected evidence of track use but no signs of neglect or
structural compromise. Lightweight alloy wheels, aerodynamic
enhancements, and factory-correct detailing emphasize the
performance focus of this customer-built Aston Martin competition
car. Inside, the DBRS9/7 is fitted with the equipment required for
professional-level competition, including a quick-release steering
wheel, racing bucket seat, Stack data acquisition system,
integrated air jacks, drivers cool suit, and a two-way radio. The
stripped interior reflects its motorsport purpose, prioritizing
safety and function over comfort, with a layout that would be
familiar to any experienced racing driver. The inclusion of
advanced telemetry and performance monitoring equipment ensures the
car can be effectively dialed in for competitive use in modern
historic events. Mechanically, the DBRS9/7 features a 5,935 cc DOHC
aluminum V12 producing 600 horsepower, paired with a six-speed
sequential gearbox. Independent suspension with double wishbones,
adjustable Moton dampers, and ventilated disc brakes provide
exceptional balance and control. The car has benefitted from
continuous upgrades and a recent inspection and service, ensuring
it remains reliable and ready for competition. Supported by its
provenance, equipment, and eligibility for prestigious historic
racing series, DBRS9/7 offers an extraordinary opportunity to
experience Aston Martins modern era of motorsport engineering. For
