When you hear the term muscle car the first thing that comes to
most people's mind is the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. It embodies
every aspect of the term with its rugged good looks, roomy
interior, and a humongous big block under the hood!
This one checks all the boxes and comes complete with mostly
original paint and a build sheet!!!A rare piece of automotive
history like this does not come available very often so you need to
strike while the iron is hot. Finished in original Fathom Blue
paint other than some touch up and a repaint of the passenger side
quarter panel. This car is as honest as the day is long and even
comes with a log book documenting all of the trips to the gas
station from 1989 to 2024! If that is not enough for you then check
out the original build sheet!! The body is nice and straight and
the undercarriage is rock solid. This Chevelle also features the
popular F41 Performance Suspension option. All of the chrome and
brightwork show well and the original glass looks great. She is
sitting on a set of correct 14" SS wheels wrapped in BFG Radial T/A
tires.
The interior appears to be all original and is upholstered in black
vinyl. It features SS gauges, bucket seats with center console, 4
speed shifter with Hurst shift knob, aftermarket tachometer,
auxiliarygauges and the original AM radio still in the dash. The
odometer is showing 81,638 actual miles as documented on the title
and the log book dating back to the 80s. The dash shows well and
the seats show no signs of wear. This has been a well loved car
since day one and it shows! Inside the trunk is the correct jack
and spare on top of an original trunk mat and factory spatter
paint.
Pop the hood and you will see that the original 396 has been
replaced with a bigger 454CI V8 engine. That is mated to the
original numbers matching Muncie M21 4 speed manual transmission
and a 12 bolt posi rear. Factory power brakes with front disc bring
all that metal to a stop with ease and MSD electronic ignition
ensures she cranks right up when you hit the key. The exhaust has
the rare factory resonators still in place and it sounds amazing!
Up underneath everything is all original and looks exactly like it
should. All of the original pans are in great shape and rock solid.
This car is a true investment grade classic that would be the
shining star in any collection!!
