--Blue Scuro with Blue leather interior and Blue carpets, 4.4 liter
V12 engine, 5-Speed manual Gearbox, Documented by Massini, Long
Term collector ownership. The 365 GTC/4 has been called the
civilized brother to the Daytona, not only does it still have the
4.4 liter V12 powerplant, but it is equipped with power steering,
more civilized road manners around town, rear seats for children
and probably the best air conditioning system of the vintage
Ferraris. Produced for only two years, only 505 examples were
manufactured for the world markets. This in comparison to 1,284
Daytona Coupes manufactured make it quite a rare Ferrari V12 in
comparison. This 365 GTC/4 was delivered new in Milan, Italy in
April 1972 to the official dealer M. Gastone Crepaldi Automobili,
this GTC/4 was sold to its first owner in May 1972 Mr. Gaetano
Passarelli, resident in Torino, Italy. May 1976, the GTC/4 was sold
to its second owner, Mr. Attilio Spoggi, resident of Milan, Italy.
December 1977 saw this GTC/4 in the ownership of its third owner,
Mrs. Marini Cecati of Rome Italy and in July 1978 sold on to its
fourth registered owner, Mrs. Candida Latini of Rome Italy. January
1982 saw this GTC/4 being traded to Ferrari dealer Sasso Car S.r.l.
of Bologna Italy, possibly kept by the dealership owner and used
for touring pleasure until being sold on in October of 1983, this
365 GTC/4 was sold to and imported to the USA by the sixth and most
recent owner, Sheldon Benatovich, Williamsville, NY who kept this
GTC/4 for the past 42 years. This European specification 365 GTC/4
is powered by its Columbo derived 4.4 Liter V12 engine with 6 side
draft Weber carburetors. It produces 340 hp at 6,200 rpm and 318
lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm and is capable of a top speed of over
160 mph. One of the best driving of the 1970s vintage Ferrari
models, not to mention probably, if not certainly one of the best
sounding V12 Ferraris of all time, it is one of the most civilized
sports-grand touring automobiles of the era, having power steering,
factory air conditioning, seating for four as well as ample luggage
capacity for lengthy journeys. A truly usable and enjoyable vintage
Ferrari, this GTC/4 is complete with books, Tool kit, Jack kit,
Service records and History report.
