The build features 848 high-compression heads sourced from a late-'50s 235, a Delta Cams Bulldog-spec camshaft, solid lifters, EGGE cast aluminum pistons, and fresh internals, including a new oil pump, water pump, and fuel pump. An upgraded PerTronix electronic ignition with a Flame-Thrower high-performance coil ensures reliable spark, while the engine retains an authentic inline-six character with enhanced performance.

The drivetrain has been thoroughly modernized for drivability. A World Class T5 5-speed manual from a 1986 Camaro provides crisp shifting via a Hurst shifter, connected through a 1956 Chevy six-cylinder bellhousing and 1954 Chevy linkage. A TCI crossmember with custom T5 transmission mount supports the setup, while power is sent through a custom driveshaft to a 1957 Chevrolet Positraction rear end with 3.55 gears. This combination provides both highway comfort and lively acceleration, making the Coupe far more versatile than its original specification.
