GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly original and
well-documented 1968 Triumph TR250 for your consideration. Finished
in classic British Racing Green over a Black interior with a Tan
convertible soft top, this TR250 is powered by its numbers-matching
2.5-liter inline 6-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed manual
transmission. With just 46,899 original miles, this vehicle has
been family-owned for over 30 years and has been meticulously cared
for throughout its life. It underwent a full frame-off restoration
in 1985-1986 and received a high-quality repaint in 1995.
Highlights include a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust
certificate, chrome front and rear bumpers, wooden trim dash,
manual choke, independent rear suspension, front disc brakes with
rear drums, and a Sony aftermarket stereo. Mechanically, it
features a new exhaust system (installed three years ago), Richard
Good trailing arm brackets, a Richard Good front sway bar kit, and
all new front control arm bushings. Additional maintenance includes
clutch slave cylinder service, brake fluid flush, and coolant
flush. The car comes with over 30 years of service records,
numerous owner's manuals, and detailed compression readings from
2014 and 2020 (1=175psi, 2=175, 3=180, 4=170, 5=170, 6=175). Drive
this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to
you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with
any questions or for more information.
The Triumph TR250 was produced for just one year, 1968, making it
one of the rarest Triumph sports cars ever built with only 8,484
units produced-exclusively for the North American market. Sharing
the body style of the TR4A, the TR250 was equipped with a newly
developed 2.5-liter inline-6 engine, offering a more refined
driving experience compared to its 4-cylinder predecessors. The
TR250 retained features like independent rear suspension and front
disc brakes, giving it a well-balanced and responsive ride. Its
blend of British charm, rarity, and mechanical simplicity has
helped it become a cherished collectible among British roadster
enthusiasts.
