Description:
This 1978 Porsche 911SC Targa is finished in metallic copper and
features a variety of bodywork revisions including flared fenders,
vented rocker panels, a 993-style rear spoiler, aero mirrors, and
964-style front and rear valances. The car is powered by a
3.0-liter flat-six with MSD ignition, and further changes include
17? Borbet wheels, an aftermarket sound system, two-tone cabin
upholstery, the three-spoke steering wheel, and the metal shifter
knob.
Interior:
Trimmed from the factory in Cork leatherette, the cabin has been
partially reupholstered and has black carpeting, black door panels
and side panels, and black-upholstered seats with tan piping. The
Premier head unit is linked with aftermarket speakers in the doors
and in custom enclosures behind the front seats. The
leather-trimmed steering wheel fronts white-dial instrumentation,
and the six-digit odometer shows 85k miles.
Exterior:
Finished in metallic copper with a matching Targa bar, the car has
flared fenders, vented rocker panels, a fixed-position rear
spoiler, RUF-style aero mirrors, and 964-style front and rear
bodywork. The 17? Borbet five-spoke wheels are mounted with
Yokohama tires, and the wheel centers shown finish
imperfections.
Drivetrain:
The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection, MSD ignition,
and factory-rated output of 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed
manual transaxle.
